the new Peak Energy series. The new PE modules are manufactured
using a proprietary process on the raw silicon and the tolerances on the
new panels are a low -0/+3%. (REC is one of the largest processors
of raw silicon.) The PE series modules are produced in a new plant in

We find the SunTech panels
to be one of the best panels made. The manufacturing process takes low
output cells and separates them from the ones with high outputs. This is
why you can see the same panel with different rated outputs.
In addition, SunTech is the
second largest solar manufacturer in the world -- so they would be a
good bet for a company that will be around for many years to honor their
warranties.
SunTech is going to be
manufacturing certain panels in Arizona very soon and the tolerance of
their new panels is going to be 0. This is a major achievement in
solar manufacturing and ensures there would be no chance of you getting
a low output panel in your string.

New California Solar Thermal Rebate Announced
California has finally approved a solar thermal
rebate under the new solar
water heating rebate program (CSI Thermal), starting on May 1, 2010.

California! Newsletter -of January 2010:
PG&E, SCE and
Southern California Edison Gas (SoCalGas) and SDG&E customers will be eligible
to receive a rebate for installing qualified solar water heating
systems. The program is expected to run through 2017 or until the
money runs out. Homeowners and building owners with natural gas
water heaters may receive up to $1,875 and $500,000 respectively.
Homeowners and building owners with electric water heaters will
receive a slightly smaller incentive of up to $1,250 and
$250,000
respectively, as it is currently more cost-effective to install a
solar water heater that offsets electricity usage. Incentives are
greatest at the beginning of the program and will decrease in four
steps over time.

Use this net metering or utility-intertie system with a battery backup to provide power when the electrical grid is down. Many states, including California, offer rebates on the cost of a photovoltaic solar panel or wind generator system to homeowners connected to the power grid. Business may be able to take a
30% tax credit for installing renewable energy equipment. (Check with your tax advisor.)
Also the Federal Government is working on implementing getting a check
